I redesigned the 5mm LED holder, including a new nut.\r\n2614745\r\nThanks to Kleinz1971 for the feedback.\r\nI created two versions, one with a closed design and another open to view.\r\nWhen printed in white or clear plastic, the LED shines right through.\r\nIt only needs to pass through 0.5mm of plastic material.\r\nThe holder fits perfectly into a 3/8" or 10mm hole diameter.\r\nI shortened the housing slightly and enlarged the nut for easier installation.\r\nNow it features a 13mm nut size.\r\nMy goal was to create a soft backlight effect behind my ceiling fan remote controller.\r\nThis solution works beautifully.\r\nI left the nut off the holder and threaded it directly into a 3/8” hole in my wall.\r\nPrinted with PLA at .2 layer thickness and 25% infill density.
