5mm LED front plate holder series
thingiverse
I needed a bunch of indicator LEDs with caps and mounts for a particular project. Check out these green frog eyes! I'm sure you'll love them. Some people are rushing in quickly, but don't worry, I've got everything you need. Here's what you're looking at: the cap/holder thing has a through-hole design and comes with a corresponding nut. The thread size and pitch aren't standard, so that's something to keep in mind. The plate thickness is roughly 1.5-2mm for the 20mm parts, and that's it. The LED isn't held tight by the cap, so I've had to wire it in place. Here are the specs: * LED cap diameter: 20mm / 13mm * Front panel hole diameter: 12.5-13mm / 9mm There are three versions of the 13mm cap V2, each with different LED positions. * The LED goes through a halfway-opened hole and sticks out about 0.5mm. * The LED is about 1mm away from the top (small lit area). * The LED is about 4mm away from the top (wider lit area). Updates: * I've uploaded the fixed V2-2 13mm parts. * If you downloaded the V2 13mm files before GMT 01:00, you'll need to flip them. Otherwise, the thread will be left-handed. I've also added a smaller V2 version with a 13mm cap, longer shaft, and slightly smaller holes. The mount hole diameter is 9mm, and I've included the corresponding nut (which can't be used with the 20mm holder). The visual appearance depends on several factors: * Brightness of the LED * Radiation angle (wide angle recommended) * Dampening by density of the filament * Positioning (focus) The prints are made using a layer height of 0.15mm and printed upright, requiring support material. Check out the pictures to see how the glow changes depending on the distance of the LED from the cap top!
