5mm Lamp Switch Clamp Grip
thingiverse
The switch on my lamp is really hard to turn, requiring a lot of force. To gain more leverage, I clamp this device onto the switch, which provides extra support. It's likely that someone with weak fingers or arthritis might find this tool useful. This object was designed and created using Tinkercad, an online platform for editing and building digital models. You can edit it yourself at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/9gAFB1Iu1Xm. Here are the print settings I used: * Printer Brand: Printrbot * Printer Model: Simple Black * Rafts: No * Supports: No * Resolution: 0.145mm * Infill: 10% Notes on printing: You may need to increase the size of the object by 1-5% for it to fit snugly onto the knob. Installation can be a challenge, and it's crucial that you're able to operate your lamp first. It takes some effort to get this device to stay in place. In my previous attempt, I had to print it 1% larger, but even then, it was still quite difficult to install. To put it on correctly, hold the two halves together and press them over the end of the knob.
