5mm Hex (Allen) Wrench for Bicycle Disc Brakes
thingiverse
This is a compact finger wrench that I crafted to fine-tune the Disc Brakes on my Trek DS Tektro Novela Disc brakes. As the brake pads wear out, I find myself needing to adjust the stationary pad regularly, requiring a 5mm hex wrench in the process. However, with spokes obstructing the path, attempting to utilize a standard long-handled 5mm hex wrench (or combination wrench) was an arduous task. This design seamlessly fits into the available space and enables you to make quick and precise adjustments to the distance between the fixed brake pad (the one that remains stationary when you press your brake lever) and the rotor. I created mine using PLA, but ABS would be equally suitable for this purpose. If you decide to build one, especially for a different bike/brake system or an entirely new application, I'd appreciate it if you could leave a comment. I'm providing the FreeCad file so that you can modify the shape/size as needed to suit your specific requirements.
