5mm Foam Core Connectors
thingiverse
These are a couple parts to connect 5mm foam core together to make a box. The hinge part works better as a lid hinge. I used a 10p nail as the hinge pin. The hinges would also work well for a foldable science fair type board display. I would use 3 connectors or hinges for a 2 foot (600mm) length of board. I put a slight draft on the parts so that the opening is smaller than the connection edge so there is built in tension for holding strength. There are others on here, but at the time they were preventing downloads if you had adds blocked so I made my own. I tried to add photos of what I made (a box to cover my printer to reduce drafts) but I can't figure out how to get past the 500kb file size limit. The lowest resolution photo I can take with my phone is still 1000kb. Update - I found an old web cam that takes low resolution pictures. Yea, I know learn how to transfer photos from your phone and run them through a photo editor. Far to complicated for my short attention span ;-)
