5mm D Shaft Scooter Wheel Adapter

5mm D Shaft Scooter Wheel Adapter

thingiverse

5mm D Shaft to standard push scooter wheel adapter. Replace the 608 bearings in a scooter wheel with this adapter to use on 5mm shafts such as NEMA 17 steppers for your robotics projects. Similar to the Pololu 2673 adapters, but not quite as robust. A 3mm x 5mm head bolt is used to attach the adapter to the shaft via a 3mm capture nut. 3mm x 15mm bolts are used to attach the cover to the hub if you're not using back capture nuts; longer ones are needed if you do use them. For my needs, I'm simply screwing into plastic. This adapter is simple and effective, making it easy to adapt most any 608 bearing wheel to a 5mm D shaft. It should print fine on most any printer. I printed these on my old Prusa i2 without issues. Keep in mind that your print may vary, and some post-print cleaning up might be necessary. I cleaned out the cap screw holes to free up the bolts a bit.
