The designer extends the Aegis clip from its standard 2mm length to a longer 5mm. This change allows for seamless compatibility with a wider range of arms on Barbie-style dolls. The Athena Makeover Kit is specifically crafted for Fashionista-type dolls that boast movable hands, but the default 2mm clip often falls short in securely attaching the shield due to their fixed flared hand position, which can cause the shield to pop off. The extended 5mm clip provides a snug fit, resolving this issue. Additionally, it accommodates male Barbie-style dolls with larger forearm dimensions. It's possible that printers without a smooth transition from the tab to the circular band may encounter difficulties, as my own tab showed slight irregularities at its base and top. The longer 5mm tab skillfully compensates for these imperfections, enabling a deeper and more secure attachment of the tab within the shield.
