5in fluke fork tail jerk bait molds

Update: I highly recommend printing the latest version of the 3-cavity mold "V4 Mold Bottom" and "V4+V3 Mold Top," it has more alignment tabs which help the mold stay together during injection and overall improve the consistency of the flukes along with a shorter hook slot to better match the zoom fluke. It also helps to use wooden pieces the same size as the mold as clamping blocks to give even pressure on all parts of the mold. Zoom flukes fall apart quickly when halibut fishing so I wanted to make a mold to re-melt them into. After doing some searching, I found that there were none to be found that are printable, So I made my own. It takes a 5/8" injector. My favorite way to make this is to slice in Cura with mold settings on; I left a photo above with the settings I used. This creates a negative of the mold which I can pour silicone into. The results with FDM are good enough to fish with, though an SLA/MSLA printer would make much nicer results. Please post a Make! I would love to see the results, especially in SLA. Note: The single-cavity mold was designed with printer tolerances in mind for the locators; it is not as tight-fitting when casted in silicone as when printed. The 3-cavity mold fits perfectly though.
