55mm inlet

55mm inlet

thingiverse

This design was crafted to safeguard wires traversing a 55mm opening in sheet metal. It can also be utilized for deep-set holes. If the metal sheet is less than 2mm thick, you should increase the part size by 1.05 times. A groove on the back surface allows any residue from cutting the metal to avoid interfering with how the print settles onto the sheet. In addition, four grasping features were designed to maintain the part in place. These movable grips shift about one millimeter when a force of 5nm is applied. Stress generated by movement is distributed across a broad area, not confined to the bottom of the grip, thus preventing it from snapping off.
