Twice within a span of just six years and nine months, I've had to deal with a blown HVAC capacitor. Both times, it was because the cheap foreign-made capacitors, measuring 50 millimeters in diameter, proved unreliable. So when the opportunity arose for me to get a replacement, I opted for an Amrad capacitor made right here in the United States. These units are larger in diameter than their predecessors and boast improved performance. However, when it came time to integrate this new component into my setup, I hit a snag - its size wouldn't fit within the confines of the smaller clamp that came with my Carrier compressor. To rectify this issue, I designed a custom part specifically for my unit. This new component is crafted from high-temperature-resistant nylon and features two holes spaced 20 millimeters apart, or roughly three-quarters of an inch. Its compatibility with my Carrier compressor makes it a valuable addition to my system.
