In January 2014, I crafted a custom-made 550 quadcopter frame from 5mm plywood. This sturdy design incorporated fiberglass and carbon reinforcement, keeping the overall weight at approximately 350g. Despite enduring multiple falls, the frame remains undamaged and can support propellers up to 11 inches in size, showcasing its impressive strength.
