I experimented with a few drum models, but wasn't satisfied with their accuracy, so I created one from the ground up. This design is based on a 55-gallon drum that served as the foundation for my UDS (Ugly Drum Smoker), with more pronounced ribs added for visual impact. To make it more personalized, I stamped our company logo onto the side and left off the top layer to create pen holders for some of my colleagues. For optimal results, a 15% infill works best when printing an enclosed model; however, three perimeters are sufficient for open-top designs. A layer thickness of .1mm produces excellent results, while .2mm still looks great. To print this design upright, rotate it by 90 degrees in your slicer. Creating this 3D model from scratch using Fusion 360 was a new experience for me, and I'm thrilled with how it turned out.
