Got fed up with plastic tool mounts so I designed this bracket to tackle the aluminium original bracket to the MPCNC. Machifit ER11 Chuck CNC 500W Spindle Motor with 52mm Clamps Easy access to all screws even when fully set up, allowing you to always check for tightness without disassembling. Print the nut test STL first as I discovered my nut in the workshop. If they don't match your size, send me your dimensions and I'll create a custom-sized nut for you. Required: I used a drill press to bore out the aluminium bracket holes with a 10 mm bit (consider stepping up to an 8 then 10 mm bit) to a depth of 5 mm. Measure your screw length carefully as these screws should not protrude past the nut due to limited clearance. Add 5 mm for the plastic thickness where nuts are placed, plus your nut's thickness, to determine how far your screw should extend past the aluminium bracket. 4 x 35 x 4 mm screws for the tool mount. Side note: I plan to remount the bracket with a higher spindle position to achieve more clearance when handling materials. Update 05/04/2020: Thingiverse is frustratingly inconsistent in displaying STL files in preview mode. Since implementing this bracket, I've noticed substantial improvements in spindle cooling and surface quality on my relief carvings.
