5150 Snowboard Binding Toe Slider
thingiverse
The binding's toe slider snapped, and since my board was made by 5150, finding a replacement was impossible. I chose to modify the existing one instead. The part doesn't experience much stress when bent, making it ideal for 3D printing. Using more infill results in a stiffer piece; I discovered that 37% triangular infill worked perfectly. I installed the toe slider on my front binding since it's used less often than the back. After a day on the slopes, no tearing or breaking occurred, and it performed flawlessly! I created multiple copies with kevlar interwoven into the plastic, but the plain plastic pieces were robust enough, so those are what I ended up using.
