510-Style Cap and Case for 280mAh Vape Pen

This is a 'case' for a 510-style vape pen. It's designed with a locking cap so that if you store this in your pocket the glass cart won't shatter. Will fit almost all 280mAh vape pens that have a button. Almost all of those kinds are white label products. If you have a different battery size in your pen, or if it's one without a button this likely won't fit. There are two different versions of the STLs included. The 'OLD' model is actually what is pictured. The changes are very minor but the pen's latch is less firm on the old model. This will likely result in better longevity with PLA and an easier time pulling the cap off the pen. The old model of the body is shortened by about a millimeter on the inside. You can see in the picture how the button on the pen isn't centered vertically. The V2 cap's clip is firmer. Some printers may exhibit stringing between the latch and body of the cap if your settings aren't dialed right. The clip will also exhibit more strain upon clipping to a shirt or releasing from the body with this cap. Depending on your filament you may have it shatter due to the bending. I've only printed this in PLA so far. I don't vape but my girlfriend does. She really wanted a pencap originally but I thought this project would be a great practice-run for making phone cases and such. I'm extremely happy with how it came out so far! **USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.The body of 510 Vapes gets hot after extended continuous use and this case is not designed with thermals in mind. For the specific model i use here the 'hot part' does not interface with this case. Your vape may not work the same way.**
