I utilized supports on both the base and the projectile head, yet only required a raft on the head. This was designed with a cannon in mind that I created, modeled after the T-shirt Cannon devised by the King of Random, which featured a barrel measuring 2 inches. The base proved slightly wider than 2 inches, necessitating sanding to achieve a precise fit. Nonetheless, it flies remarkably well; however, users must exercise caution when operating it, as I inadvertently shot mine over my neighbor's house.
