50W HF amplifier
thingiverse
This is a housing for an amateur radio amplifier. It's part of a comprehensive project covering all major aspects of an efficient DIY design, leading to a compact, yet field-deployable device. Its primary characteristics are: * 30 to 50 W output * 2 to 2.5 W input * 12 V to 14 V supply * Works on 40 m to 20 m bands, expandable * Harmonic suppression via LPF * PTT (active low) * Passive cooling, ready for active venting * Time required for building: 6 to 8 hours * Total hardware cost: approximately 50 € The technical design is based on an amplifier kit that's readily available online at competitive prices. Compliance with regulations is ensured by adding switchable low-pass filters, for which a PCB layout is provided. Additionally, this 3D printed housing provides convenient mounting and protects the entire system. More detailed documentation and supplemental materials (PCB files, drilling templates...) are available on my website: http://www.oe1cgs.at/50w-hf-verstaerker/ (German, with an extended English abstract and many pictures).
