50th Anniversary Logo for Virginia Tech in the National Capital Region
thingiverse
Virginia Tech is marking its 50th anniversary of graduate education in the National Capital Region this year, with six different locations throughout Northern Virginia and more than 750 current students. The original two-dimensional design of the stylized "50" was created by Robin Dowdy, whose work can be found at robindowdy9010.myportfolio.com. To create a unique look for this event, I designed several three-dimensional versions of the "50," primarily using Tinkercad. Each version has distinct support structures built in. Versions 1 and 2 feature simple rectangles supporting internal sections, such as the middle of the zero. The version labeled "50th and Vor" boasts a Voronoi pattern in its open spaces.
