50mm Pulley (2x 608 bearing)

50mm Pulley (2x 608 bearing)

thingiverse

This is a basic pulley system featuring a 50mm main wheel, designed to handle up to a 10mm or 3/8" line with ease. To assemble it, you'll need two 608 skate bearings and two 8mm x 35-40mm bolts and nuts. The top of the pulley can be secured by tying a line directly onto it or using a carabiner as a clip for added convenience. Two wheel designs are available - one more intricate and another simpler to print. I've found that the wheels print well in a standing position with support, but if you encounter any issues, you can try printing the easier design on its side instead. A no-bearing wheel variant is currently in development and will be added soon. To achieve optimal results, the sides of the pulley should be printed flat with at least 30% infill. I recommend using 2mm walls, top, and bottom with a 30% infill setting to ensure the sides are nearly solid, leaving just a small amount of infill around the top block. This design is still evolving, so stay tuned for more variants in the future. You can find suitable bearings here: http://amzn.to/2i5t08X.
