I appreciate ianjohnson's winder project concept, but I have numerous 50mm hub spools like MBI's. Therefore, I designed a solution requiring only three 608 bearings and threaded rod with nuts. The gear is compatible with ianjohnson's winder, featuring bearings on both ends and a capped bearing. The shortened knob prevents rubbing while spinning, allowing the nut to protrude for smooth spool clamping and removal.
