My extruder fan suddenly gave out on my PrintrBot, but I was lucky enough to have a spare 50mm fan that I'd been saving. Instead of ordering a replacement 40mm fan, I decided to get creative and designed an adapter/duct to make the 50mm fan work with my existing setup. This simple solution adapts a 50mm cooling fan to fit into the stock mounting location meant for a 40mm fan on the PrintrBot Simple Maker's Edition, all without interfering with the GT2 belt conversion I had previously done.
