I Load My Filament from the Top - It's a Simple yet Effective Solution But when I use brand new, full spools, the filament keeps slipping off the spool because the extruder is constantly pushing it back up. So, I came up with this ingenious solution. The adapter makes it super easy to use 50mm spools on a standard 32mm spool holder - talk about a time-saver! As an added bonus, there's also a protective guard that feeds the filament directly into the printer. This nifty feature helps keep the filament securely in place on the spool. I've been using this adapter for a few weeks now, and so far, it's worked like a charm. Print Settings Printer: Any (pick one) Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Who cares? Resolution: Let your printer's fancy software handle that - any resolution you choose will do. Notes: 1. Make sure to crank up the print strength - aim for at least 3 solid shells, with plenty of infill for added stability. I opted for PLA filament for this particular project, mainly because I found it provides just the right amount of slip and reduced resistance - an added plus! Print both the Arm and Cap separately.
