50mm / 2' Hydroponics Net Pot
thingiverse
TLDR: Net pot for hydroponics printed flat in 2 pieces. Fits a 50mm (2 inch) hole. Quick and easy! ----- Usual story, started experimenting with growing herbs, etc. hydroponically, and needed some net pots for that, but could not find anything I liked, so designed my own. The conventional printable pots end up being basically retraction torture tests and need supports which is no good. What makes these pots unique (not counting the beautifully crafted design ;) ) is that they are printed flat in 2 pieces. Once printed, the pot itself is folded origami-style and inserted into the top ring for structural support. Pay attention to the chamfers on the underside of the print, this is where the inward folds should be. If your build plate is 200x200mm or larger, you can print both pieces at the same time. My Ender was churning them out every 50 min or so, plus I did not need to keep an eye on the progress since it is only 4 layers tall (at 0.2mm layer height).
