Update 10/04/2017: Added photos revealing clearance at X200 Y0. They show how close it comes to the frame without making contact, at least on my machine. Modified a 50x15 blower duct by claancy with a viewport. I simply cut out a section of the front so I could monitor the first layers of prints as they develop. It's probably not ideal, but I haven't noticed any drop in performance.
