Here is an RC motor launch that I designed to work with a 400-speed-sized motor and a 9-gram servo. If printed at 100%, the model will be 500mm in length and have a 3mm rudder shaft and 6mm propeller shaft. These shaft holes will require reaming with a drill after printing. If you alter the scale, these shaft hole sizes will also change. EDIT: Unless you have a low-profile 9g servo like I used, you'll struggle to fit a higher profile 9g servo (e.g., Hextronic HXT900) into the server holder I built into the model. The workaround is simple. Either print all parts at 120% for a 600mm model or mount your servo forward of the rudder with your own mounting method, which should be relatively straightforward. I designed this model for my personal use and am currently printing it in HIPS, augmenting the model with hand-cut HIPS details from styrene card and tube sections. Joins will need to be filled. The largest part (Hull Midships) is around 200mm tall. I designed this to be printed on most moderate-sized printers in 200mm-ish sections. You might be able to print it on smaller printers by scaling down. The model should be assembled and then sanded, coated with a suitable finish coat. I will epoxy my assembled hull, then sand it, and then paint. I have printed almost all the parts in PLA at smaller scales for prototyping, and it all fits together. However, you can expect to sand to get a good fit. I would love some positive feedback, and if this seems like it wasn't a waste of several weekends and evenings, I will maybe upload another model. Good luck, and let me know if I can help.
