The primary purpose of these designs is outlined in "3D Printed UV-Vis Cuvette Adapter for Low-Cost and Versatile Spectroscopic Experiments," a publication available through the open-access journal ACS Omega. The link to this publication is http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/acsomega.7b01310. This specific part is designed to replicate traditional quartz and glass UV-Vis spectrometer cuvettes. With a path length of 10 mm and a sample volume of approximately 0.5 mL, this cuvette can be used in most standard UV-Vis spectrometers. To minimize light scattering, we recommend printing this design with a black filament. An instructional video demonstrating the assembly of the spectrometer is provided below, along with a list of materials used. Either quartz or glass windows can be utilized depending on the required spectral range of the cuvette.
