50's Ray Gun

This is an original ray gun side-arm I've drawn up. It features provisions for LEDs and wiring, with 23 5mm holes set up for lights - a demonstration of which can be seen in the video below. Six LEDs are placed in each of the three light rings, three in the barrel, and three in the back "control panel". A slot on the opposite side of the control panel accommodates a button cell battery holder, doubling as a greeblie on the side of the gun and facilitating easy battery replacement. Print the light ring three times using transparent material. Print the barrel in transparent as well. Everything else can be printed solidly. I used "natural" PLA for my lighted parts, then painted in the areas you don't want to illuminate later. More pictures will be posted as I get mine painted. The trigger was mounted by sliding a chunk of PLA strand through holes in the chassis, through the hole in the trigger, and gluing the strand to the sides of the chassis. A momentary spring-loaded button is used behind them to activate lighting and springs the trigger forward again. 1/4" holes in the side of the forward body and chassis are provided for adding a piece of 1/4" tubing for more detail - I used some red plastic fuel line.
