5 Wheel Buffer for MMU2
prusaprinters

An alternate solution to MMU2S buffer. Easy to locate away from filament and easy to load.

Somewhat of a remix (or at least inspired by) https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3529934 from jgillick

EDIT: Loop the filament around the wheel twice before feeding to MMU2.

Print instructions

Print everything flat. 1 base, 5 sets of verticals, 5 wheels.

Insert a 508 bearing into each wheel. Assemble using M3 screws.

Use 4mm OD PTFE to the MMU2 as well as out to the filament.

I use a piece of double-sided tape (3M command tape/tabs) to hold it to the tabletop.

I printed in PETG, but PLA should be fine. Used .4mm nozzle. Printed base at .2mm for quality/clearance for PTFE tubes. Verticals and wheels don't really matter on layer height.
