If you're not a fan of Hondas, take your complaints elsewhere, or modify it to use the standard tree instead of "civic". I might release an alternative version in the future... Basically, the switches mount to a printed plate that is attached to the cable's sheath, and a small fin travels inside the plate attached to the cable, triggering two switches. The left/right cable grounds out the left, center, and right columns of LEDs, while the forward/backward cable sends 12V to the top or bottom rows of LEDs. For example, if the shifter is pushed left, the left column is grounded. If the shifter is then pushed forward, the top row is energized. The only LED with both a positive and a negative connection would be the top-left, which indicates first gear. A crude wiring diagram is included, with colors coordinated to match "Speedwire", a 9-conductor wire set commonly used in car amplifier and audio installations. Any suitable wire will work, just make sure to note what goes where. Additionally, switch placement may vary based on the direction your cables move (mainly for left-right, as they translate into forward/backward movement). My left shift actually translated into a forward cable movement, but this might not be true for all vehicles. A hood or "Sun Shroud" will follow soon to provide easier viewing in daylight. (Regular and long versions added on March 7th, 2018. Simply glue it on after assembly.)
