5-speed (10T) Jockey Wheel

thingiverse

This is a replacement Jockey Wheel engineered specifically for an older 5-speed drive train. Modeled after a 1970's Falcon Black Diamond road bike with a simplex 5-speed drive train, the wheels should fit other similar 5-speeds seamlessly. If it fits snugly in the derailleur cage, rest assured that these wheels will work flawlessly - they're not overly particular about their surroundings. The original bushings are an absolute necessity for the wheels to function optimally. The wheels have been installed on a bike and put through rigorous testing during Minnesota's harsh winter months. For a month straight, they were used for daily commuting without any issues, withstanding the elements admirably and showing no visible signs of wear so far. Print Settings: - A range of resolutions should work fine - the ones shown here were printed at 0.2mm. - Concentric patterns on the top and bottom surfaces help ensure strong layer adhesion. - Supports can touch the build plate without any issues. - Printing with ~30% infill, a triangle pattern achieves maximum rigidity in radial directions. Post-Printing: A bit of sanding was necessary to smooth out the inner diameter for effortless spinning around the bushings - that's all there was to it.
