Update 2018 01 05: Include new feature A brand-new Base is now available as part of the package or separately at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2701453 ---------------------------------------- After purchasing a 5-inch touch screen monitor (23€) for my Raspberry on AliExpress, I struggled to find a slim case that fit it perfectly. I wanted to use it like a standalone monitor, not connected to the Raspberry, because you can't install a fan and I have two RPI 3's. Using the case alone turns it into an HDMI screen without touchscreen capabilities, but I don't mind since the touch accuracy isn't great; a Bluetooth mouse is my preferred choice. This slim case is incredibly easy to print and assemble from its individual parts. To combine the two case components, use four 2mm screws. To secure the flexible system, use four 3mm screws. Finally, attach the Base to the screen using one 3mm screw. Inside the Base, you can insert up to three Micro SD Cards. STL files are available for a monitor stand or support with improved stability. The Back panel has been increased by 1mm compared to my original printed model. I suspect this touch screen is from Waveshare (original or not?), as I have identical touch drivers and settings. All parts can be printed without skirts, supports, or brims. I printed it in PLA using a FlashForge Creator Pro.
