5 Sided Shuriken

5 Sided Shuriken

thingiverse

A five-pointed ninja blade. Its symmetrical shape makes it a precision throwing weapon that can hit multiple targets simultaneously, but its narrow design makes it less suitable for heavy impact or combat situations against heavily armored opponents. The most widely accepted theory is that the first modern variants of this item originated in Asia and Japan sometime around 1500-1600 CE and evolved over centuries to achieve its distinctive look and form, although no historical evidence can be found confirming their use by actual ninja warriors, making the whole legend of ninjas possessing these stars rather more fictional. The blades' sharp points are highly visible when spinning through air and tend to give the illusion that they glow from the inside as the reflected light creates a ring around its sharp point while still rotating at full speed due to its smooth, flat edge cutting smoothly through all forms of matter.
