5" Quad Frame
thingiverse
Here's V2 of a custom H-X frame designed specifically for 5" props. I've carefully crafted it to fit perfectly around 2204 motors or any other motor featuring 16mm and 19mm spaced M3 holes, with centers 177.6mm apart. The FC holes are strategically placed at 30.5mm, ensuring a secure and stable setup. I highly recommend printing this frame out of ABS material with 100% infill, except for the RX mount which can be printed with less infill. The design includes mounting options for vtx, rx, and other components that I've used but may also work with others. A camera mount is still in development, so please note that it's not yet available. However, most parameters can be easily adjusted using SolidWorks if you have access to the part files. To assemble this frame, you'll need to print 1x base frame, 4x arms, and 1x rx mount. It's essential to flip each part in your slicer software (such as Cura) to an orientation that makes sense for printing. To achieve this, import 2 arm parts into Cura, flip one of them, duplicate those 2, then flip the duplicates in the opposite direction (never vertically). This will ensure a smooth and successful print.
