I'm thrilled to share my first major self-designed print project, which has been a labor of love. Although I've crafted a couple of tiny items before, this one marks a significant milestone for me. Through extensive learning and experimentation with Fusion 360, I've honed my skills and gained valuable experience. Initially, I attempted to create splines that replicated the coastline's intricate details, but it proved to be an arduous task, plagued by errors along the way. One mishap after another forced me to scrap the entire project and opt for a simpler design, which has been a sanity-saver. As soon as I figure out how to share them, I'll upload the STL and CAD files for anyone interested. The "spilikin" compartment in my design is slightly too small to accommodate 15 pegs, which are necessary for a full game with scoring features. Unfortunately, this space was originally designed to be larger but got downsized due to unforeseen circumstances. Rather than revisiting the issue now, I've decided to leave it as is and potentially address it in future revisions. The spilikin door posed another challenge, as its original length made the latch malfunction. To rectify this, I carefully trimmed 0.8mm off the door's length with scissors, ensuring a snug fit. In my CAD file and STL models, I've also reduced the size by 0.8mm to account for this change, but I haven't had the chance to test it yet. As such, your results may vary depending on your specific printing conditions.
