5 Picture Folding 2x3 Picture Frame
thingiverse
This was a blast to design. My mother-in-law asked for a 5-picture folding picture frame for Christmas, and it seemed like an easy task at first. But finding one was surprisingly difficult. I started from scratch using pictures with a 2x3 aspect ratio as references - specifically, ones that measure 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches. You can easily adjust these dimensions to suit your needs and scale them up for larger pictures of the same aspect ratio. The design includes four STL files for the Far Left, Far Right, Middle sections, and Backplate. The backplate fits into notches and snaps into place with a satisfying click. To release it, simply press on the glass - the first time might be a bit tricky, but subsequent times are much easier. To complete this project for 2x3 pictures, you'll need to get your hands on the following: 8 hinges: You can find these on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MN54LYL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. 32 M1.7x5mm screws: Head to Amazon for these at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XKH7XWV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. 5 pieces of 2x3 glass, cut precisely to 2.5 x 3.5 inches: I picked mine up at Hobby Lobby. Enjoy!
