5" LCD & Raspberry PI enclosure
thingiverse
I picked up a 5" Touchscreen LCD on Amazon (http://amzn.to/29gIOQ1) for my Pi3 to pair with Octoprint. I struggled to find a 5" enclosure that integrated the PI, as this board functions as a backpack and requires direct connection to the PI's GPIOs, so I took matters into my own hands. In the photo, you won't notice any holes in the backpiece, but I drilled three for an initial bottom piece. The uploaded STL includes these holes along with added space for cables to emerge from the side. I may continue refining this design and upload future updates, but for now, it's functioning as intended :D If you're interested in tinkering or remixing this project, I made the OnShape document public @ https://cad.onshape.com/documents/a4faa6f2d264a8ec9f4df769/w/f85371d54d1a29c4ea40f717/e/fdc62bb2a37ddcff73fc5d67 Print Settings Printer: Wanhao Di3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .4 Infill: 10% Notes: What's crucial is 3 shells and 3 top/bottom layers - these thin pieces require added strength.
