This is a unique take on the original knife stand and extension, with some notable differences in size but retaining the main design elements. The connectors are extended to accommodate longer knives like mine, allowing them to be used at full length or cut to fit properly. When removing the connectors from the printer, it's essential to trim a tiny bit of filament from one edge for a snug fit and minimal wobble (dependent on how much filament is removed). This design eschews chamfers, filets, and other features in favor of a boxy aesthetic. The handle spots securely hold knives with flat, sharp ends, preventing them from sliding down the display. To ensure stability, the connectors must be inserted into place, rather than simply falling into position. When using the extension to create a double-layer setup, it's necessary to attach the extension first and then the display sides or vice versa. Alternatively, placing the display sides on the inside and the extension on the outside allows for smaller knives to fit comfortably. As my first model, this design has performed flawlessly in print, despite its lack of ornate features. Its boxy corners may not make it a showpiece, but it still exudes a modern appeal.
