Desk clock featuring a life-size replica of a vintage 5¼ inch floppy diskette as its face. Older generations may not fully grasp the challenges involved in crafting a clock from obsolete tech, including those iconic floppy disks. This unique timepiece serves both decorative and educational purposes, allowing owners to showcase just how clunky early computing was while keeping perfect time. This project is surprisingly simple to print and assemble, requiring only a standard clock mechanism. The stand is designed for a press-fit attachment but may need additional support with glue to secure it firmly to the face. The face and stand are printed at an impressively fine 0.2 mil thickness, while the dials are even more precise, achieved at 0.1 mil or less. The first layer can be slightly thicker at 0.2 mil, making this project accessible to a wide range of printing capabilities.
