This is a precision-crafted 5" orbital sandpaper holder designed to secure tightly into a wood lathe via a robust 4-jaw chuck that provides stability for effortless sanding. I utilized Monoprice PLA with remarkable results, effortlessly grinding through steel and intricate 3D components alike. Initially, I was concerned about heat distortion, but the design holds its shape perfectly, maintaining a flawless roundness. To ensure seamless operation, I apply wood glue to attach new paper sheets and employ a chisel to remove worn-out paper. As an added touch, I utilize a custom-made wooden box as the sanding surface, allowing for precise 90-degree sanding angles.
