5 Gallon Bucket Mouse Trap
thingiverse
So, I caught a mouse in my garage and decided to take action. I had a 5-gallon bucket from Lowe's hardware store that already had a spinning mechanism built into its handle. So, I designed a finned bait holder that can snap onto it. I also created some "handle locks": blocks that ensure the wire handle of the bucket stays upright. Next, I crafted a simple ramp to the handle from the floor using a piece of cardboard, smeared peanut butter into the bait trays and set it in the garage. Within 30 minutes the mouse was already trapped in the bucket. I'm happy to share these STLs with others who want a quick way to convert a 5-gallon bucket into an effective multi-event mouse trap.
