This spool is engineered to safely hold spools of $5 Filament from ProtoParadigm with complete security. The halves screw together tightly. This design originated as a modification of another concept, but I made significant changes to use less plastic, include space for bearings, and create thicker/stronger walls for the threaded areas. Standard 608 bearings are required for a smooth, care-free glide experience.
