$5 Filament Spool
thingiverse
I bought $5 rolls of filament from Protoparadigm, but I didn't like how they were packaged. So, I designed and printed two custom parts to hold them instead. The parts fit together perfectly without needing any fasteners. They work great on my Makerbot Replicator 2 printer. I used the $5 filament to print these holders out of PLA plastic. I set the print settings as follows: Printer: MakerBot Resolution: .2mm Infill: 15% Rafts: No Supports: No I printed at a temperature of 205°C for the extruder and 50°C for the build plate.
