5 Degree Speed Square for Carpentry

5 Degree Speed Square for Carpentry

This is like a regular speed square, except it produces cuts on a 5 degree angle. It's sturdy enough to slap your circular saw against and get consistent cuts without any fuss. Five degrees is a perfect angle for making mid-century modern style legs for furniture, and by keeping it consistent, the legs will stay even without having an annoying wobble. I wanted to put a support bar in the middle for some added stability, so I just used a "5" so you can easily tell it apart from your other squares. I printed mine at 100% infill with 0.2 resolution because I wanted it as solid as possible with no flex. You can likely get by with less infill if you want to experiment and save filament, but I wasn't willing to risk it. If you do try less infill, make sure to leave a comment letting everyone know how it went.
