5/8" Under-String Banjo Mute
thingiverse
This is an under-string banjo mute designed for a 5/8" bridge setup. Feedback would be greatly appreciated if you test this print. It needs to be printed in a flexible material, such as a semiflex, and placed under the strings on the head of the instrument. If the mute pushes the strings out of the notches on the bridge, it is likely due to either a height problem or infill issue; these can both be addressed in your slicer. The design applies slight pressure to mute the strings while preventing the head from moving freely, resulting in a plunkier sound that I have found desirable for certain songs. For instance, a frailed version of Moon River sounds rather nice with this mute.
