With this impressive antenna, I successfully reached a distance of 2.5 kilometers using a budget-friendly video transmitter. The radio range was indeed exceeded, so I had to bring the experiment to an end. To calculate the antenna's performance, I relied on the calculator provided by jcoppens.com: https://jcoppens.com/ant/helix/calc.en.php. As for the reflector, it consisted of a 32.4 mm copper board. For the helix, I opted for a 1.2mm copper wire, although the recommended size is 1 mm.
