5.75" Tire Insert (2.2" wheel)

UPDATE 10/25: Added a "Skinny" version that needs to be printed with 0.4m nozzle. Results in a way softer insert. These are tire inserts to replace RC wheel foams for 2.2" wheels used in XL tires, usually 5.75" tall and 2.25" wide tires. Testing video: https://youtu.be/qQ0PVedsFJI Ideal if you want more support for your RC and keep the shape of the tire while allowing the insert to flex following the terrain/rock shape for better grip. The insert has three stages, first is solid (or depends on the infill you chose), the second it has spacers that make it rigid but will flex on a big jump or crash, and the third has many pins holding the outer skin, making it smooth and soft to adapt to the shape of the terrain/rock. The outer layer (or skin) also has angled edges to provide more support on sidehill crawling. I print these in TPU 95A with 10% infill and 0.6m nozzle. If your rig is really lightweight or you want something softer, you can print in TPU 90A. The insert is designed to keep the shape of the wheel in full flex or sidehills, so too soft TPU could affect the performance in this situation.
