Human: Engines that harness rotational power (Turboprop, Turboshaft) incorporate a torque meter system that counteracts the engine's output torque. There are several methods, but in engines where the engine and reduction gear are integrated, the method using engine oil is often employed.By replacing anti-torque with axial movement and adjusting the valve opening, it balances the pressure in the piston and cylinder with the anti-torque axial force. This pressure is then displayed on the cockpit panel as a torque meter reading and used to control the engine. As one method of generating this axial movement;Planetary gear systems using spur gears (carrier shaft acts as the output shaft) have been developed.Adding a helical spline around the ring gear generates axial force in the ring gear. This method provides a relatively large piston area, allowing engine oil pressure to be used.https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-jet-engine-component-torque-meter-planetary-gear-type-95672Planetary gear systems using helical gears (ring gear acts as the output shaft) are another option. The axial force generated on carrier gears can be used. This method requires a higher pressure pump for the torque meter due to narrow piston areas.A third method uses reduction gear with a helical gear train, mainly in turboshaft engines. It utilizes the axial force generated on intermediate gears. Other methodsSome engines use the difference in torsion between two or one shaft (hydraulic or electrical).\r\nThis model reproduces the third method as a cutaway model.\r\nThe components of this model are:① Helical Gear Train (Drive Gear, Inter-Gear, Output Gear)② The torque meter mechanism contained within the Inter-Gear③ Torque Meter Shaft with Piston (Fixed)④ Torque Meter Cylinder with Control Port (Moving)⑤ Bearings: 2 Roller Bearings (for Radial Force), 1 Ball Bearing (for Axial Force) All bearings are printed except for Balls.⑥ Gearbox Housings (to support the front and rear of the Torque Meter Shaft)⑦ Oil passage (engine oil, torque meter oil, bleed) But O-rings are omitted in this model.⑧ The Output Gear is cut to reduce print size and it's fixed.By turning the Drive Gear, you can see the movement of the Inter Gear and Cylinder. Some design changes have been made because the oil pressure to move the cylinder backwards cannot be used.\r\nB. Assembly Manual (PDF format, total 15 pages) A detailed assembly manual including "Parts-List", "After printing treatment" and "Assembly procedure" are prepared based on "Standard Skill (Filing, Drilling, Tapping, gluing and tightening)".\r\nC. Purchase Parts 1. All Bearings are printed. (except for 8mm Balls). 2. Screws M1.4x6L, M2x10L, M4x20LRD. STL file Total STL files are 28 items including the stand and tools. “ws” of last 2 digits of file name means “With Support” special designed.\r\nE. Total Net Print Time: Approx. 49HR- (Estimated as case of PLA, 0.4mm Nozzle, 0.2mm Layer Height, 40% infill and No raft and support) Note: When at actual print, each parameter may be adjusted by your experience.\r\nF. Printing settings Raft, Support, Layer Height, Infill: Depending on your experience. My models were printed by "idbox" using with 0.4 nozzle, 1.75 PLA.I do hope you have a successful printing experience!!
