5.56x45 NATO
thingiverse
Modelled a 5.56x45 NATO round in Onshape, ensuring all dimensions are accurate - except for the varying bullet itself. If the model doesn't print well, try splitting it into pieces using NetFabb and then gluing them back together. The 5.56x45 NATO is one of the most widely used rounds in modern military forces. It's seen in AR15-style rifles like the M4A1 Carbine in US Military use, as well as in the British SA80 firearm family, including the L85A2 rifle. Its small size makes it lightweight and ideal for soldiers to carry multiple rounds. The civilian version of this round is the .223 Remington, which shares similarities with its military counterpart but is loaded at a lower pressure and has slower muzzle velocity. Have fun!
