$5.50Japanese Mogami class cruiser
myminifactory
The Mogami class were four cruisers built for the Imperial Japanese Navy during the 1930s. All four members of teh class fought during WW2 and all four were sunk: Mogami was scuttled after the battle of Suriago strait, Mikuma was sunk during the battle fo midway, Suzuya was sunk at the Battle off Samar and Kumano was sunk during the Philippines campaign. This model is designed in the 1/1800 scale but can be printed in 1/2400 scale without appreciable loss of detail. The model comes as several STL files, one for the ships’ Hull and multiple sprues for the Bridge, turrets, cranes etc. There are two sprues for the turrets, one has the turret barrels horizontal whilst the other has the barrels elevated to show the ship in combat. We have tested a few of our designs at two additional scales: 1/3000 and 1/1200 which have all turned out really well. At 1/3000 scale though some components are very small and require additional patience when assembling.
