The Admiral Hipper class of Heavy Cruisers consisted of 5 ships built for the Kriegsmarine. Only the first three ships of the class were completed, with one of the uncompleted ships sold to the Soviet Union in 1940 The Admiral Hipper class succeeded the Deutschland class Panzerschiff. The 3 ships in active service during the war had wildly different service records with Blucher being sunk less than seven months after being commissioned. Prinz Eugen sailed with the battleship Bismarck on her ill-fated maiden mission. This model is designed in the 1/1800 scale but can be printed in 1/2400 scale without appreciable loss of detail. The model comes as two STL files, one for the ships Hull and the other for the turrets, cranes etc.
